Is it necessary to remove snow from roof?

Mowing
Regular Lawn Mowing Helps Grass Stay Healthy & Strong
We understand that when your lawn is regularly mowed, it keeps the blades at the ideal height for photosynthesis and nutrient absorption. It also ensures the grass grows evenly throughout your yard and that the blades are all getting the correct amount of nutrients.
Proper Mowing Routines Help Prevent Disease & Insect Infestation
Another pro to keeping up with a proper mowing routine is that it allows for signs of diseases or insect infestations to be spotted. When lawn disease strikes, it’s important to treat it before it overtakes the entire yard. Fungal diseases can quickly kill your yard as they spread.
Common insects such as white grubs can also rapidly destroy your yard. Grubs attack your grass at the roots, effectively cutting off its ability to retain nutrients. Signs of lawn disease and insect infestation include brown patches, dug up areas of the lawn, and more.
Our team knows how to identify and take the appropriate action to prevent any damages to your grass.
Mulch
We offer our expert mulch services to homes and businesses. A popular time of the year to refresh mulch is during the spring. However, we install ground covers all times of the year, except winter.
We recommend customers add new mulch annually. This not only allows you to continue reaping the health benefits of the mulch for the plants in your beds, it also leaves your landscaping beds beautiful and bountiful all through the season.
What is the purpose of mulch?
As a Weed Barrier: Mulch blocks the light and suffocates weeds. For Moisture Retention: By blocking the light, mulch helps your soil retain more moisture so you have to water less often. As a Finishing Touch: Mulch adds a clean, decorative touch to your yard, helping boost curb appeal (and your home’s perceived value).
Spring/Fall Clean Up
Our yard cleanups are available seasonally in the spring and fall, and as needed for distressed, overgrown, and foreclosed properties.
Did you know that a great way to prepare your property seasonally is to invest in bi-annual spring/fall yard cleanups? We provide both commercial and residential properties with yard cleanups that include such services as leaf removal in the fall and clearing away yard debris in the early spring, among other services.
Why is clean up important?
A spring/fall landscape cleanup protects your turf.
A layer of soggy fall leaves creates a barrier on top of the turf blocking water, sunlight, and healthy air flow, which can create disease and unsightly brown patches.
Patio
Are you looking to upgrade your property with a new patio? Our team uses the most durable and low-maintenance materials for the new patios in Massachusetts area. Pavers will not only last many years but they also offer incredible design options and room for creativity, from the many different colors to the unique patterns, textures, and shapes. Our expert designers can help you choose what style paver will complement your landscape best.
Our company installs durable, low-maintenance paver patios for homes and businesses.
Why do you need a patio?
Having a patio means that you’ll be able to spend more time in your backyard, even when it’s cold outside. You can use the patio as a place to put a hot tub, or you can enclose it and add heat to the area. No matter what the season, your patio will serve its purpose as a place for the whole family to gather.
Walkway
Stone walkways are important features for any landscape installation. Stone walkways are attractive, durable, and provide the access to your home and landscape. There are many different types of walkways.
Whether you want a traditional brick path for a typical New England Cape or an embossed natural stone textured walkway leading up to the formal entrance of a Federal-style brick home, a paver walkway adds a touch of class to any style home.
Interlocking Concrete Pavers
Interlocking concrete pavers are quickly becoming the paving surface of choice. There are hundreds of styles, colors and design details that we can customize for you and the way you live your life. We’ll work together to finalize the design details that will make your project a work of art.
Polymeric Sand
Or poly sand as we sometimes call it, is a joint sand that has a stabilizing polymer mixed in that prevents it from migrating or escaping the joints of an interlocking concrete paved surface. It is the biggest contributor to a low-maintenance stone installation because of its ability to harden up and prevent weed seeds from germinating and taking root.
Driveway
Being the largest segment of the overall landscape, it is the most visible. When you combine the choice of colors, patterns, textures and design with the overall look, there is not a house anywhere that a paver driveway cannot help enhance.
With a crack/chip proof paver driveway, curb appeal and design creativity are unmatched. Our experts will help you design a driveway that not only increases the value of your home but leaves the neighbors green with envy.
The Strength of Interlocking Concrete Pavers
Interlocking concrete pavers are three times stronger than poured concrete, and when properly installed, the paved surface has a life expectancy of 40 to 50 years.
To illustrate what we’re talking about – think for a minute about the foundation of your home. The concrete is delivered in a big mixer truck and it flows out of the chute into the form. In order to make it flow they add water to the mix. Pavers are manufactured in a plant. There is very little water in the mix that is pressed and compacted into the paver molds. Your foundation usually as a PSI strength of 3,000 to 4,000. Pavers usually test out at 9,000 to 12,000 PSI.
Firepit
If you are looking to upgrade your outdoor space, a stone fire pit is one of the best yard lifts you can get. When thoughtfully designed and integrated into your property’s landscape, an outdoor fireplace extends the living space of your home. It also provides another zone for family and friends to gather.
As a centerpiece for any celebration or get-together, a fire pit draws people together in an inviting environment. It also allows you to enjoy and entertain in your outdoor space into late fall or early spring.
Stone/Block Wall
We are specialized in all types of freestanding and retaining wall construction and repair. For decades, we have been the preferred masonry contractor for countless residential and commercial customers in Massachusetts. As simple as stone walls may seem, our creative approach turns every project into a work of art. Thinking about the security of the property, we work with the existing landscape to combine beauty and functionality.
Retaining walls
The main function of a retaining wall is simple: hold back earth. They are commonly used to level surface areas creating more functional space in an uneven landscape. Retaining walls can be turned into highly functional features and be used as planters, light features, beautiful terraces or anything you can think of.
Our masons are experts at creating unique retaining walls. We will help you make the most of your outdoor space and will help you come up with the best design and materials.
Trimming & Pruning
In order for your home or business property’s landscaping (bushes, shrubs, hedges, and small trees) to thrive, you need to prune and trim at the right time of the year. We have experienced professionals who know exactly when and how to trim the plants that grow in and around the New England area.
Our landscape trimming and pruning services are for bushes, shrubs, hedges, and small trees.
The difference between trimming and pruning.
Trimming and pruning are very different but equally important to the growth of your landscape’s plants and hedges. Trimming cleans them up and helps get rid of overgrown branches. Trimming is often referred to as giving your hedge a haircut. Pruning, however, deals with the health of the plant by selectively removing branches.
Trimming aids the bush in growing back thicker, greener, and healthier than before. This also reduces disease and insect infestation, while preventing overgrowth. Aesthetically speaking, trimming controls the shape and size of the plant.
During pruning, we remove diseased, vertically grown, and low-hanging branches. Pruning prevents loose or dead branches from breaking free. It is also essential for flowering or fruit-bearing plants.
